Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha-Mim. 1 THE BESTOWAL from on high of this divine writ issues from God, the Almighty, the Wise. 2 Verily, in the heavens and the earth are signs for the believers. 3 and in your own creation; and in the animals which He spreads out over the earth too there are Signs for those endowed with sure faith; 4 And [in] the alternation of night and day and [in] what Allah sends down from the sky of provision and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and [in His] directing of the winds are signs for a people who reason. 5 These are the revelations of God which We recite to you for a genuine purpose. In what statements other than God's and His revelations will they then believe? 6 Woe to every guilty impostor 7 Who hears the revelations of God being recited to him, yet persists in denying with arrogance as though he had never heard them! So warn him of a painful punishment. 8 And when he knoweth aught of Our revelations he maketh it a jest. For such there is a shameful doom. 9 Behind them Gehenna; and that they have earned shall not avail them aught, nor those they took as protectors, apart from God; for them awaits a mighty chastisement. 10 This (Quran) is a guidance. Those who reject the revelations of their Lord will suffer the most painful punishment. 11
