Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha; Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 2 Verily in the heavens and the earth are signs unto the believers. 3 and in your creation, and in the crawling things that He has scattered far and near, there are signs for a nation whose belief is certain, 4 And (in) the variation of the night and the day, and (in) what Allah sends down of sustenance from the cloud, then gives life thereby to the earth after its death, and (in) the changing of the winds, there are signs for a people who understand. 5 These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you in truth. Then in what statement after Allah and His verses will they believe? 6 Woe to every sinful liar! 7 who hears God's messages when they are conveyed to him, and yet, as though he had not heard them, persists in his haughty disdain! Hence, announce unto him grievous suffering 8 And when he learns something of Our Signs, he takes them in jest: for such there will be a humiliating Penalty. 9 Gehenna (Hell) is behind them, all that they have earned shall not help them at all, nor shall those they took as guardians, other than Allah. For them there is a mighty punishment. 10 This (Quran) is a guidance. Those who reject the revelations of their Lord will suffer the most painful punishment. 11
