Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ha, Meem. 1 The sending down of the Book is from God, the All-mighty, the All-wise. 2 There are signs in the heavens and the earth for those who believe: 3 And in your creation, and all the creatures He scatters in the earth – in them are signs for the people who are certain. 4 and in the alternation of the night and day, in the provision Allah sends down from heaven with which the earth is revived after its death, and in the changing about of the winds, there are signs for people who understand. 5 These are the portents of Allah which We recite unto thee (Muhammad) with truth. Then in what fact, after Allah and His portents, will they believe? 6 Woe unto each sinful liar, 7 Who hears the communications of Allah recited to him, then persists proudly as though he had not heard them; so announce to him a painful punishment. 8 When he comes to know something of Our messages he makes fun of them: For them is shameful punishment. 9 In front of them is Hell: and of no profit to them is anything they may have earned, nor any protectors they may have taken to themselves besides Allah: for them is a tremendous Penalty. 10 This (Quran) is a guidance. And those who disbelieve in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, for them there is a painful torment of Rijz (a severe kind of punishment). 11
