Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Ha Mim. 1 The sending down of the Book is from God, the All-mighty, the All-wise. 2 Behold, in the heavens as well as on earth there are indeed messages for all who [are willing to] believe. 3 In your creation and in that of the beasts living on earth there is evidence of the Truth for the people who have strong faith. 4 And in the alternation of Night and Day, and the fact that Allah sends down Sustenance from the sky, and revives therewith the earth after its death, and in the change of the winds,- are Signs for those that are wise. 5 Such are the verses of Allah. We recite them to you in truth. So in what speech, after Allah and His signs, will they believe? 6 Alas the woe for every dissembling sinner 7 Who heareth the revelations of Allah recited unto him, and then continueth in pride as though he heard them not. Give him tidings of a painful doom. 8 When he learns about some of Our revelations, he mocks them. Such people will suffer a humiliating torment. 9 Before them is hell, and there shall not avail them aught of what they earned, nor those whom they took for guardians besides Allah, and they shall have a grievous punishment. 10 This is guidance. Those who deny the revelations of their Lord will suffer a dreadful doom. 11
