Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
HA MIM. 1 The revelation of the Book (this Quran) is from Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 2 Surely in the heavens and earth there are signs for the believers; 3 And in the creation of yourselves and what He disperses of moving creatures are signs for people who are certain [in faith]. 4 and in the alternation of night and day, and the provision God sends down from heaven, and therewith revives the earth after it is dead, and the turning about of the winds, there are signs for a people who understand. 5 These are revelations of God which we recite to you correctly: In what other lore but God and His manifestations would they then believe? 6 Woe to every guilty impostor 7 who hears the signs of God being recited to him, then perseveres in waxing proud, as if he has not heard them; so give him the good tidings of a painful chastisement. 8 And when he knows anything of Our verses, he takes them in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. 9 In front of them there is Hell, and that which they have earned will be of no profit to them, nor (will be of any profit to them) those whom they have taken as Auliya' (protectors, helpers, etc.) besides Allah. And theirs will be a great torment. 10 This is guidance; and those who disbelieve in the signs of their Lord, there awaits them a painful chastisement of wrath. 11
