۞ God has made the sea subservient to you so that ships sail on by His command and you seek His favors. Perhaps you will be grateful. 12 And hath made of service unto you whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth; it is all from Him. Lo! herein verily are portents for a people who reflect. 13 Tell those who believe to forgive those who hope not for the days of Allah; in order that He may requite folk what they used to earn. 14 Whoever does what is just and right, does so for his own good; and whoever does evil, does so to his own detriment, and you shall all return to your Lord. 15 We gave to the Children of Israel the Book, judgment and prophethood. We provided them with good things and preferred them above the worlds (of their time). 16 We gave them clear directions in matters pertaining to religion. Yet they differed among themselves (not out of ignorance but) after knowledge had come to them; and they did so out of the desire to commit excesses against one another. On the Day of Resurrection Allah will judge among them regarding what they had differed. 17 Then We put thee on the (right) Way of Religion: so follow thou that (Way), and follow not the desires of those who know not. 18 Indeed, they will never avail you against Allah at all. And indeed, the wrongdoers are allies of one another; but Allah is the protector of the righteous. 19 This is clear indication for mankind, and a guidance and a mercy for a folk whose faith is sure. 20 What! Do those who seek after evil ways think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe and do righteous deeds,- that equal will be their life and their death? Ill is the judgment that they make. 21
