۞ Allah it is He Who has subjected to you the sea, that ships may sail through it by His Command, and that you may seek of His Bounty, and that you may be thankful, 12 He subjugated for you whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth, each and everything. Verily there are signs in this for those who reflect. 13 Tell the believers to ignore those who do not believe in the coming of the days of God. He will requite people for what they have done. 14 He who does good does so for himself; and he who does evil suffers the consequence thereof. You have then to go back to your Lord. 15 AND, INDEED, [already] unto the children of Israel did We vouchsafe revelation, and wisdom, and prophethood; and We provided for them sustenance out of the good things of life, and favoured them above all other people [of their time]. 16 We gave them clear signs of the Command; yet it was not until after knowledge had come to them that they differed among themselves, and were insolent to each other. On the Day of Resurrection your Lord will indeed decide their differences. 17 Then We put thee on the (right) Way of Religion: so follow thou that (Way), and follow not the desires of those who know not. 18 Behold, they could never be of any avail to thee if thou wert to defy the will of God for, verily, such evildoers are but friends and protectors of one another, whereas God is the Protector of all who are conscious of Him. 19 This is clear indication for mankind, and a guidance and a mercy for a folk whose faith is sure. 20 Or do those who commit ill-deeds suppose that We shall make them as those who believe and do good works, the same in life and death? Bad is their judgment! 21
