Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
(As for) those who disbelieve and turn away from Allah's way, He shall render their works ineffective. 1 God forgives the sins and reforms the hearts of the righteously striving believers who have faith in what is revealed to Muhammad - which is the Truth from his Lord. 2 That is because the ones who deny the truth follow falsehood, while those who believe follow the Truth from their Lord. Thus God sets forth comparisons for mankind. 3 When you meet the unbelievers, smite their necks, then, when you have made wide slaughter among them, tie fast the bonds; then set them free, either by grace or ransom, till the war lays down its loads. So it shall be; and if God had willed, He would have avenged Himself upon them; but that He may try some of you by means of others. And those who are slain in the way of God, He will not send their works astray. 4 He will guide them and improve their condition; 5 And cause them to enter the garden which He has made known to them. 6 Believers! If you succour God, He will succour you and make your footsteps firm. 7 As for the unbelievers, they will suffer misfortunes, and their deeds will be rendered ineffective. 8 This is because they disliked what Allah has sent down – He has therefore squandered all their deeds. 9 ۞ Have they not traveled through the land and seen how was the end of those before them? Allah destroyed [everything] over them, and for the disbelievers is something comparable. 10 This, because God is the Protector of all who have attained to faith, whereas they who deny the truth have no protector. 11
