Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Those who disbelieve and turn (men) from the way of Allah, He rendereth their actions vain. 1 As for the believers who do good works and believe in what is sent down to Muhammad which is the truth from their Lord He will acquit them of their sins and repair their condition. 2 This because those who reject Allah follow vanities, while those who believe follow the Truth from their Lord: Thus does Allah set forth for men their lessons by similitudes. 3 When you meet those who deny the truth in battle, strike them in the neck, and once they are defeated, make [them] prisoners, and afterwards either set them free as an act of grace, or let them ransom [themselves] until the war is finally over. Thus you shall do; and if God had pleased, He would certainly have exacted retribution from them, but His purpose is to test some of you by means of others. As for those who are killed in God's cause, He will never let their deeds be in vain; 4 He will guide them and improve their condition; 5 He will admit them into the Garden He has already made known to them. 6 O ye who believe! if ye shall succour Allah, He shall succour you and make firm your feet. 7 But the unbelievers shall be the destroyed losers. He will bring their deeds to nothing. 8 That is because they disliked what Allah revealed, so He rendered worthless their deeds. 9 ۞ Have they not travelled through the land and seen the terrible end of those who lived before them? God brought upon them utter destruction and the disbelievers will also face similar perdition. 10 that is because Allah is the Guardian of the believers, and the unbelievers have no guardian. 11
