Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Those who disbelieve and bar from the way of Allah, Allah will cause their deeds go astray. 1 And (as for) those who believe and do good, and believe in what has been revealed to Muhammad, and it is the very truth from their Lord, He will remove their evil from them and improve their condition. 2 This, because they who are bent on denying the truth pursue falsehood, whereas they who have attained to faith pursue [but] the truth [that flows] from their Sustainer. In this way does God set forth unto man the parables of their true state. 3 When you meet the unbelievers, smite their necks, then, when you have made wide slaughter among them, tie fast the bonds; then set them free, either by grace or ransom, till the war lays down its loads. So it shall be; and if God had willed, He would have avenged Himself upon them; but that He may try some of you by means of others. And those who are slain in the way of God, He will not send their works astray. 4 He will guide them, and dispose their minds aright, 5 and will admit them to the paradise which He has promised them. 6 O People who Believe! If you help the religion of Allah, He will help you and will stabilise you. 7 And for those who disbelieve – may they be ruined, and may Allah destroy all their deeds! 8 That is because they hated what Allah has sent down, so He annulled their deeds. 9 ۞ So did they not travel in the land to see what sort of fate befell those who preceded them? Allah poured ruin upon them; and for the disbelievers are several like it. 10 That is because Allah is the patron of those who believe, and because the infidels! no patron is theirs. 11
