Or do those in whose hearts is a disease think that Allah will not bring forth their spite? 29 And if We willed, We could show them to you, and you would know them by their mark; but you will surely know them by the tone of [their] speech. And Allah knows your deeds. 30 Most certainly We will try you until We have discovered those among you who strive their hardest, and those who are steadfast, and will test your record. 31 Surely those who disbelieve and turn away from Allah's way and oppose the Apostle after that guidance has become clear to them cannot harm Allah in any way, and He will make null their deeds. 32 Believers, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and do not cause your works to be nullified. 33 ۞ surely those who reject the truth and bar others from the path of God, then die as deniers of the truth, will not be granted forgiveness by God. 34 So do not lose heart or appeal for peace when you have gained the upper hand. God is with you and will never let your works go to waste. 35 The life of this world is but sport and amusement. If you believe and are God-fearing, He will grant you your reward, and will not ask you for your possessions. 36 If He were to ask you for your possessions and press you (in that regard), you would have grown niggardly, and Allah would have brought your failings to light. 37 There you are! You are called upon to spend in the Way of Allah. Some of you are mean; yet whoever is mean is mean only to his own soul. Allah is the Rich and you are the poor. If you turn away, He will replace you with another nation, and they will not be like you. 38
