Do those whose hearts are sick think that God will never make their malice public? 29 If We were to so will, We could have shown them to you so that you would recognise them by their faces, and you would certainly know them by the manner of their speech. Allah knows all your deeds. 30 And We shall assuredly try you until We know those of you who struggle and are steadfast, and try your tidings. 31 Indeed those who disbelieved and prevented others from Allah’s way, and opposed the Noble Messenger after the guidance had become clear to them – they cannot harm Allah in the least; and soon He will squander away their deeds. 32 Believers, obey God and obey the Messenger: do not let your deeds go to waste -- 33 ۞ Verily those who disbelieve and hinder others from the way of Allah and then die as infidels, Allah shall by no means forgive them. 34 Do not be weak hearted and do not appeal for an (unjust) settlement; you have the upper hand. God is with you and He will never reduce the reward for your deeds. 35 The life of this world is but play and an amusement. If you believe and are cautious, He will give you your wage, and will not ask for your possessions. 36 If He asks for all you possess and insist upon it, you will become niggardly, and it will bring out your malevolence. 37 Behold! You are those who are called to spend in the Cause of Allah, yet among you are some who are niggardly. And whoever is niggardly, it is only at the expense of his ownself. But Allah is Rich (Free of all wants), and you (mankind) are poor. And if you turn away (from Islam and the obedience of Allah), He will exchange you for some other people, and they will not be your likes. 38
