Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Verily, We have given you (O Muhammad SAW) a manifest victory. 1 so that Allah may forgive you your shortcomings, whether earlier or later, and may complete His favours upon you and guide you to the Straight Way, 2 And so that Allah may provide you a great help. 3 It is He who from on high has bestowed inner peace upon the hearts of the believers, so that - seeing that God's are all the forces of the heavens and the earth, and that God is all-knowing, truly wise - they might grow yet more firm in their faith; 4 (From His Wisdom) He admits the believers, both men and women, into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, there to live for ever, and acquit them of their sins that with Allah is a mighty triumph 5 And that He may punish men and women (who are) hypocrites, and idolaters and idolatresses who entertain evil notions of God: It is against them that the wheel of misfortune will turn, and God will be wroth with them, and condemn them. For them He has prepared Hell, an evil destination! 6 And to Allah belong the soldiers of the heavens and the earth. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise. 7 We have sent you forth as a witness and a bearer of good tidings and a warner, 8 so that you believe in Allah and His Messenger and that you support him, revere him (Prophet Muhammad), and exalt Him (Allah), at the dawn and in the evening. 9 Those who swear allegiance to you swear allegiance to Allah. The Hand of Allah is above their hands. He who breaks his oath breaks it against his self, but for he that keeps his covenant made with Allah, Allah shall give him a mighty wage. 10
