Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Surely We have given thee a manifest victory, 1 that God may forgive thee thy former and thy latter sins, and complete His blessing upon thee, and guide thee on a straight path, 2 And that Allah may succour thee with a mighty succour. 3 It is He Who instilled peace in the hearts of the believers, so that it may increase their strength of conviction; and to Allah only belong the armies of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is All Knowing, Wise. 4 That He may admit the believing men and the believing women to Gardens under which rivers flow (i.e. Paradise), to abide therein forever, and to expiate from them their sins, and that is with Allah, a supreme success, 5 and that He might punish the hypocrites and the idolaters, both men and women, and those who think evil thoughts of Allah. An evil turn (of fortune) will befall them. The Wrath of Allah is on them, and He has cursed them and prepared for them Gehenna (Hell), an evil arrival! 6 To God belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth; God is All-mighty, All-wise. 7 We have sent you as witness (of the truth) and harbinger of good news and a warner, 8 That ye (mankind) may believe in Allah and His messenger, and may honour Him, and may revere Him, and may glorify Him at early dawn and at the close of day. 9 Behold, all who pledge their allegiance to thee pledge their allegiance to God: the hand of God is over their hands. Hence, he who breaks his oath, breaks it only to his own hurt; whereas he who remains true to what he has pledged unto God, on him will He bestow a reward supreme. 10
