Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Verily We! a victory We have given thee, a manifest victory. 1 That Allah may forgive you your sins of the past and the future, and complete His Favour on you, and guide you on the Straight Path; 2 And that Allah may help thee with powerful help. 3 It is He who from on high has bestowed inner peace upon the hearts of the believers, so that - seeing that God's are all the forces of the heavens and the earth, and that God is all-knowing, truly wise - they might grow yet more firm in their faith; 4 That He may admit the men and women who believe, to Gardens beneath which rivers flow, to dwell therein for aye, and remove their ills from them;- and that is, in the sight of Allah, the highest achievement (for man),- 5 And that He may punish the Hypocrites, men and women, and the Polytheists men and women, who imagine an evil opinion of Allah. On them is a round of Evil: the Wrath of Allah is on them: He has cursed them and got Hell ready for them: and evil is it for a destination. 6 Allah's are the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is ever Mighty, Wise. 7 Verily, We have sent you (O Muhammad SAW) as a witness, as a bearer of glad tidings, and as a warner. 8 so that you may believe in God and His Messenger, and may help him, and honour him, and so that you may glorify God morning and evening. 9 Those who swear allegiance to you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do indeed in fact swear allegiance to Allah; Allah's Hand* of Power is above their hands; so whoever breaches his oath, has breached his own greater promise; and whoever fulfils the covenant he has with Allah – so very soon Allah will bestow upon him a great reward. (Used as a metaphor.) 10
