The Wall (Al-Hujuraat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ O believers, advance not before God and His Messenger; and fear God. God is All-hearing, All-knowing. 1 Believers, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet, and do not speak as loudly when speaking to him as you do when speaking to one another, lest your actions come to nothing without your realizing it. 2 They who speak in a low voice in the presence of God's Apostle, have had their hearts tried by God for reverence. There is forgiveness for them and a great reward. 3 Indeed, those who call you, [O Muhammad], from behind the chambers - most of them do not use reason. 4 And if they had patience till you could come out to them, it would have been better for them. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 5 Believers, if an evil-doer brings you news, ascertain the correctness of the report fully, lest you unwittingly harm others, and then regret what you have done, 6 and know that the Messenger of God is among you. If he were to obey you in many things, you would suffer for it. However, God has endeared the faith to you, and beautified it in your hearts, and has made denial of the truth, wickedness, and disobedience hateful to you. People such as these are rightly guided 7 by God's favour and blessing; God is All-knowing, All-wise. 8 If two parties among the Believers fall into a quarrel, make ye peace between them: but if one of them transgresses beyond bounds against the other, then fight ye (all) against the one that transgresses until it complies with the command of Allah; but if it complies, then make peace between them with justice, and be fair: for Allah loves those who are fair (and just). 9 The Believers are but a single Brotherhood: So make peace and reconciliation between your two (contending) brothers; and fear Allah, that ye may receive Mercy. 10
