The Wall (Al-Hujuraat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ O believers, advance not before God and His Messenger; and fear God. God is All-hearing, All-knowing. 1 O you who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet (SAW), nor speak aloud to him in talk as you speak aloud to one another, lest your deeds may be rendered fruitless while you perceive not. 2 The ones who lower their voices in the presence of the Messenger of Allah are those whose hearts Allah has tested for God-fearing. Theirs shall be forgiveness and a great reward. 3 Indeed most of those who call you from outside the chambers do not have sense. 4 And if they had been patient until you [could] come out to them, it would have been better for them. But Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. 5 Believers, when an ungodly person brings to you a piece of news, carefully ascertain its truth, lest you should hurt a people unwittingly and thereafter repent at what you did. 6 Know that the Apostle of God is among you: If he agreed with you in most matters you would surely come to grief. But God has made faith more desirable to you, and attractive to your hearts, and rendered disbelief and sin and disobedience repugnant. They are those who are well directed 7 [It is] as bounty from Allah and favor. And Allah is Knowing and Wise. 8 Hence, if two groups of believers fall to fighting, make peace between them; but then, if one of the two [groups] goes on acting wrongfully towards the other, fight against the one that acts wrongfully until it reverts to God's commandment; and if they revert, make peace between them with justice, and deal equitably [with them]: for verily, God loves those who act equitably! 9 The believers are but brethren; wherefore make reconciliation between your brethren and fear Allah, that haply ye may be shewn mercy. 10
