Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Quran! 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing: 2 "What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)." 3 We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account). 4 In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers - 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 and so did 'Ad, and Pharaoh and Lot's brethren, 13 And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the apostles, so My threat came to pass. 14 Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
