Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By Qaf and the glorious Quran, (you are the Messenger of God). 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return. 3 We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account). 4 Nay, but they [who refuse to believe in resurrection] have been wont to give the lie to this truth whenever it was proffered to them; and so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 And the earth, We have made it plain and cast in it mountains and We have made to grow therein of all beautiful kinds, 7 This is a reminder and it sharpens the insight of every servant of God who turns to Him in repentance. 8 And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests; 9 And tall date-palms with their spathes pile on pile 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 Before them, the nation of Noah, the nation of ArRass belied and so did Thamood 12 And the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun, and the fellowmen of Lut. 13 And the Dwellers of the Woods, and the people of Tubb’a; each one of them denied the Noble Messengers, so My promised punishment proved true. 14 Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
