Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Qaf. By the honored Qur'an... 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 Why - [how could we be resurrected] after we have died and become mere dust? Such a return seems far-fetched indeed!" 3 We already know how much of them (of their bodies) the earth will consume. With Us there is a Book that contains all records. 4 But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how We have made it and adorned it, and there are no rifts in it? 6 and We have spread out the earth, and have set upon it firm mountains, and have caused it to bring out plants of all beauteous kinds? 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 and tall palm-trees with spathes compact, 10 As sustenance for (Allah's) Servants;- and We give (new) life therewith to land that is dead: Thus will be the Resurrection. 11 Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 dwellers of the forest, and the people of Tubba had all rejected the Prophets. Thus, they became subject to Our torment. 14 Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
