Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. 1 Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing: 2 "What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)." 3 We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves. 4 Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion. 5 What, have they not beheld heaven above them, how We have built it, and decked it out fair, and it has no cracks? 6 And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants). 7 Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah]. 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 And tall date-palms with their spathes pile on pile 10 As a provision for our bondmen; and therewith We have quickened a dead land. Even so will be the coming forth. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 dwellers of the forest, and the people of Tubba had all rejected the Prophets. Thus, they became subject to Our torment. 14 Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation. 15
