Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah) 1 Aye! they marvel that there hath come unto them a warner from among themselves; so the infidels Say: this is a thing wondrous! 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. 4 Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not observed the sky above them and marked how We have built it and adorned it, leaving no flaws in it; 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We send down water as a blessing from the sky, and grow gardens with it and the grain for harvest, 9 And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters; 10 all this as sustenance for Our servants. And thus We do bring the dead land back to life with water. Such shall be the coming forth (of human beings from the earth). 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun, and the fellowmen of Lut. 13 And the dwellers of the Wood and people of Tubba'. Each of them denied the apostles. So My threat became a reality. 14 Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
