Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an. 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing. 2 What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return. 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused. 5 What, have they not beheld heaven above them, how We have built it, and decked it out fair, and it has no cracks? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it solid mountains and We brought forth from it all kinds of delightful plants, 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests; 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 all this as sustenance for Our servants. And thus We do bring the dead land back to life with water. Such shall be the coming forth (of human beings from the earth). 11 Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, 12 and Ad, and Pharaoh, and Lot's brethren, 13 and the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba': every one denied their messengers, and so My warning came true. 14 Did We fail to accomplish the first creation? Of course, We did not; We have all power over all things. Yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
