Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By Qaf and the glorious Quran, (you are the Messenger of God). 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing. 2 Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 An insight and a Reminder for every slave turning to Allah (i.e. the one who believes in Allah and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His pardon). 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters; 10 as sustenance apportioned to men; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life: [and] even so will be [man's] coming-forth from death. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 As did the people of 'Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation. 15
