Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an. 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing: 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 And the earth, We have made it plain and cast in it mountains and We have made to grow therein of all beautiful kinds, 7 An insight and an admonition for every bondman penitent. 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters, 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 Before them, the people of Noah and the people of Rass denied this truth; and so did the people of Thamud. 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 and the people of Aykah, and the people of Tubba'. They all gave the lie to the Messengers. Thereafter My threat of chastisement against them was fulfilled. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
