Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 "When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be resurrected?) That is a far return." 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state. 5 Have they not seen how We have established the sky above them and decked it without gaps and cracks? 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 as a lesson and reminder for every human being who turns to God; 8 And We have sent down from the heaven water and blest wherewith We have caused gardens to grow and the grain reaped. 9 And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters, 10 as a provision for the worshipers; thereby We revived a land that was dead. Such shall be the emerging. 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 and so did 'Ad, and Pharaoh and Lot's brethren, 13 and the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan,] and the people of Tubba: they all gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon that whereof I had warned [them] came true. 14 Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, They are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection)? 15
