Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah) 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 What! When we are dead and reduced to mere dust, (shall we be raised to life)? Such a return is far-fetched.” 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them; with Us is a book recording. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion. 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon, 7 A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave. 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And tall date-palms with their spathes pile on pile 10 as a provision for the worshipers; thereby We revived a land that was dead. Such shall be the emerging. 11 The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud, 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation. 15
