Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 "What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)." 3 We know what the earth consumes of them, for We have the Book that preserves everything. 4 In fact, they have rejected the truth that has come to them, thus, they live in confusion. 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah). 8 And We send down water as a blessing from the sky, and grow gardens with it and the grain for harvest, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 As sustenance for the bondmen; and with it We revived a dead city; this is how you will be raised. 11 Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, 12 And Ad and Firon and Lut's brethren, 13 and the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba': every one denied their messengers, and so My warning came true. 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15
