Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 “When we are dead and have turned to dust, will we be raised again? That return is impossible!” 3 We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves. 4 Nay, but they [who refuse to believe in resurrection] have been wont to give the lie to this truth whenever it was proffered to them; and so they are in a state of confusion. 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, 7 To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah). 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;- 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 and Ad, and Pharaoh, and Lot's brethren, 13 the dwellers of the Thicket and the nation of Tubba', all belied their Messengers, therefore My threat was realized. 14 Did We, then, become worn out by the first creation? Not at all; but they are in doubt about a fresh creation. 15
