Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaaf. By the Glorious Koran! 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 We know all what the earth decreases from them; and with Us is a Book that retains. 4 Rather, they belied the truth when it came to them, and now they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not observed the sky above them and marked how We have built it and adorned it, leaving no flaws in it; 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 All these are to serve as eye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth). 8 and We have sent down from the sky blessed water with which We have brought forth gardens and grain to be harvested, 9 and tall palm-trees with clusters of dates 10 As a provision for our bondmen; and therewith We have quickened a dead land. Even so will be the coming forth. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
