Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf; by oath of the Glorious Qur’an. 1 Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing: 2 "When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be resurrected?) That is a far return." 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state. 5 Have they not seen how We have established the sky above them and decked it without gaps and cracks? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 We sent down blessed water from the sky with which We caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow, 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 And the tribe of 'Ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Were We then fatigued with the first creation? Yet are they in doubt with regard to a new creation. 15
