Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a Warner from among themselves. So the Unbelievers say: "This is a wonderful thing! 2 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon, 7 All these are to serve as eye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth). 8 And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered spathes; 10 As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection. 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut, 13 and the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba': every one denied their messengers, and so My warning came true. 14 Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
