Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
QAF. I CALL to witness the glorious Qur'an. 1 Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing: 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 Well do We know how the earth consumes their bodies, for with Us is a record unfailing. 4 Nay, but they [who refuse to believe in resurrection] have been wont to give the lie to this truth whenever it was proffered to them; and so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? 6 And (how) We have spread the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and have grown all kinds of beautiful pairs in it? 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 As sustenance for (Allah's) Servants;- and We give (new) life therewith to land that is dead: Thus will be the Resurrection. 11 The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud, 12 And the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun, and the fellowmen of Lut. 13 the dwellers of the Thicket and the nation of Tubba', all belied their Messengers, therefore My threat was realized. 14 Were We then fatigued with the first creation? Yet are they in doubt with regard to a new creation. 15
