Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing. 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them; with Us is a book recording. 4 Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused. 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 And the earth! We have spread it forth, and have cast therein firm mountains, and have caused to grow therein of every beauteous kind of plants: 7 An insight and a Reminder for every slave turning to Allah (i.e. the one who believes in Allah and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His pardon). 8 We have sent blessed water down from the sky to grow gardens, harvestable crops 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered spathes; 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 Ad, the Pharaoh, Lot, 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, They are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection)? 15
