Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Quran! 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 "What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)." 3 We know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us. 4 Rather, they belied the truth when it came to them, and now they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not seen how We have established the sky above them and decked it without gaps and cracks? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it solid mountains and We brought forth from it all kinds of delightful plants, 7 A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave. 8 And We have sent down from the heaven water and blest wherewith We have caused gardens to grow and the grain reaped. 9 and tall palm-trees with spathes compact, 10 As sustenance for the bondmen; and with it We revived a dead city; this is how you will be raised. 11 (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood, 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
