Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 What! When we are dead and reduced to mere dust, (shall we be raised to life)? Such a return is far-fetched.” 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 In fact, they have rejected the truth that has come to them, thus, they live in confusion. 5 Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We have fashioned and adorned it, and it has no flaw? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah). 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 and tall palmtrees with compact spathes 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 the dwellers of the Thicket and the nation of Tubba', all belied their Messengers, therefore My threat was realized. 14 Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation. 15
