Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 Nay, they wonder that there has come to them a warner (Muhammad SAW) from among themselves. So the disbelievers say: "This is a strange thing! 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 We know what the earth consumes of them, for We have the Book that preserves everything. 4 Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it solid mountains and We brought forth from it all kinds of delightful plants, 7 Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah]. 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered spathes; 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 And the tribe of 'Ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 and the people of Aykah, and the people of Tubba'. They all gave the lie to the Messengers. Thereafter My threat of chastisement against them was fulfilled. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
