Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah) 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a Warner from among themselves. So the Unbelievers say: "This is a wonderful thing! 2 that after we die and become dust, we shall be brought back to life again. This seems far from reality". 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts? 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 An insight and a Reminder for every slave turning to Allah (i.e. the one who believes in Allah and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His pardon). 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 As a provision for our bondmen; and therewith We have quickened a dead land. Even so will be the coming forth. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 And the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun, and the fellowmen of Lut. 13 and the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba': every one denied their messengers, and so My warning came true. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
