Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Qaf. [These letters (Qaf, etc.) are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. By the Glorious Quran. 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing. 2 "When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be resurrected?) That is a far return." 3 We already know how much of them (of their bodies) the earth will consume. With Us there is a Book that contains all records. 4 In fact, they have rejected the truth that has come to them, thus, they live in confusion. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them - how We have built it and made it beautiful and free of all faults? 6 And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, 7 thus offering an insight and a reminder unto every human being who willingly turns unto God. 8 We have sent blessed water down from the sky to grow gardens, harvestable crops 9 and tall palm-trees with spathes compact, 10 As sustenance for the bondmen; and with it We revived a dead city; this is how you will be raised. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 And Ad and Firon and Lut's brethren, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, They are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection)? 15
