Q (Qaaf)
45 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat) before The Town (Al-Balad)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. By the glorious Quran! 1 In fact, it seems odd (to the pagans) that a warner from their own people has come to them. The disbelievers have said, "It is very strange 2 What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return. 3 We know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us. 4 But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state. 5 Have they not seen how We have established the sky above them and decked it without gaps and cracks? 6 And the earth! We have spread it forth, and have cast therein firm mountains, and have caused to grow therein of every beauteous kind of plants: 7 All these are to serve as eye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth). 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 as a provision for the worshipers; thereby We revived a land that was dead. Such shall be the emerging. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood and people of Tubba'. Each of them denied the apostles. So My threat became a reality. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
