Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 (Thus do they imagine, although) We know well what the earth takes away from them. With Us is a Record that preserves everything. 4 Nay, but they [who refuse to believe in resurrection] have been wont to give the lie to this truth whenever it was proffered to them; and so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it solid mountains and We brought forth from it all kinds of delightful plants, 7 All these are to serve as eye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth). 8 We have sent blessed water down from the sky to grow gardens, harvestable crops 9 And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters, 10 A provision for (Allah's) slaves. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the resurrection (of the dead). 11 Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah who denied you, O Muhammad SAW) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamud, 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 and the people of Aykah, and the people of Tubba'. They all gave the lie to the Messengers. Thereafter My threat of chastisement against them was fulfilled. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
