Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 What, when we are dead and become dust? That is a far returning!' 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 Nay, but they [who refuse to believe in resurrection] have been wont to give the lie to this truth whenever it was proffered to them; and so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how We have made it and adorned it, and there are no rifts in it? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 All these are to serve as eye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth). 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 as sustenance for My servants. With this We have brought the dead land back to life. Thus, will also be your resurrection. 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 As did the people of 'Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the apostles, so My threat came to pass. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No, indeed; yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
