Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 What! When we are dead and reduced to mere dust, (shall we be raised to life)? Such a return is far-fetched.” 3 We know very well what the earth takes away from them: We hold a book which records all things. 4 In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)- 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 A provision for (Allah's) slaves. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the resurrection (of the dead). 11 Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, 12 And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood and people of Tubba'. Each of them denied the apostles. So My threat became a reality. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No, indeed; yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
