Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 In fact, it seems odd (to the pagans) that a warner from their own people has come to them. The disbelievers have said, "It is very strange 2 to come back to life after we have died and become dust? That is most improbable!" 3 We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case. 5 Have they not seen how We have established the sky above them and decked it without gaps and cracks? 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters, 10 as sustenance apportioned to men; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life: [and] even so will be [man's] coming-forth from death. 11 The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud, 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 And the Dwellers of the Woods, and the people of Tubb’a; each one of them denied the Noble Messengers, so My promised punishment proved true. 14 Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, They are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection)? 15
