We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. 16 When the two receiving angels receive from him, one seated on the right and one on the left. 17 whatever phrase he utters, an observer is present. 18 And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid. 19 The trumpet will certainly be sounded. This will be the day (about which you) were threatened. 20 And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 His companion will say: "Here is (the record) I have ready with me." 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment' 26 ۞ His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." 27 He shall say, 'Dispute not before Me! For I sent you beforehand -- the threat. 28 The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants." 29
