We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 When the two receiving angels receive from him, one seated on the right and one on the left. 17 Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: this is that which thou hast been shunning. 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 Every soul will be accompanied (by an angel) behind him and another as a witness. 21 (It will be said): 'Of this you have been heedless. Therefore, we have now removed your covering. Today your sight is sharp' 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 (They will be told,) "Throw into hell every persistent disbelievers, 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 who has set up another god besides God: cast him into severe punishment" -- 26 ۞ His companion will say: O our Lord! caused him not to transgress but he was himself in error far off. 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 The Word cannot be changed with Me; I do not wrong My worshipers' 29
