We swear that We have created the human being and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 each word he utters shall be noted down by a vigilant guardian. 18 The trance of death will come revealing the truth: that is what you were trying to escape. 19 The trumpet will certainly be sounded. This will be the day (about which you) were threatened. 20 And there shall come every soul therewith shall be a driver and a witness. 21 'Thou wast heedless of this; therefore We have now removed from thee thy covering, and so thy sight today is piercing.' 22 His companion attendant will say, "I have here his record ready." 23 It will be said to the angels, “Both of you fling every excessive ungrateful, stubborn person into hell.” 24 Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment' 26 ۞ His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." 27 He shall say, 'Dispute not before Me! For I sent you beforehand -- the threat. 28 The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves. 29
