We created man -- We know the promptings of his soul, and are closer to him than his jugular vein -- 16 When the two (angels) who keep the account, one sitting on the right, one on the left, take it down, 17 each word he utters shall be noted down by a vigilant guardian. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!" 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness. 21 Assuredly thou wast in neglect thereof; now We have removed from off thee thy veil, so thy sight Today is piercing. 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 hinderer of good, transgressor, causing others to doubt, 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 (It was said): “Do not remonstrate in My presence. I had warned you. 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
