Surely We have created man, and We know the promptings of his heart, and We are nearer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 When the two receiving angels receive from him, one seated on the right and one on the left. 17 whatever phrase he utters, an observer is present. 18 And the hardship of death came with the truth; “This is what you were escaping from!” 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 Everyone has come, each attended by one who will drive him on, and another who will bear witness. 21 (And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day. 22 And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony). 23 "Cast each stubborn unbeliever into Hell," (they will be told), 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 and has set up another deity with Allah. Hurl him into the grievous torment.” 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 and My word shall not be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants." 29
