He created man and surely know what misdoubts arise in their hearts; for We are closer to him than his jugular vein. 16 When the two (angels) who keep the account, one sitting on the right, one on the left, take it down, 17 He utters not a word, but there is a vigilant watcher at hand. 18 And death's agony comes in truth; that is what thou wast shunning! 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 And his Companion will say: "Here is (his Record) ready with me!" 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 "Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 Who sets up another god with Allah, so do cast him into severe chastisement. 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
